Speakers parameters index
Today ,i will talk about that Db and degree of distortion, they are counterproductive, so we must control well their's relationship, otherwise will poor the speaker timbre and HI-FI.
Distortion
There is harmonic distortion, intermodulation distortion and transient distortion different. Harmonic distortion is the sound playback was added to the original signal without harmonic distortion caused by components; intermodulation distortion affects the pitch of the voice ;transient distortion ,because the speaker has a certain inertia, tub body vibrations cannot keep up with electrical signals changes in an instant of shock as a result of the original signal and the differences between the playback sound. It is very important in the speakers and speaker systems, directly affects the timbre of the restored level, this is often expressed as a percentage, the smaller the number represents less distortion. Common multimedia speaker distortion is less than 0.5% is appropriate and distortion common subwoofer is often greater, less than 5% can be accepted.
speaker sensitivity (in Db)
each speaker sensitivity difference 3dB, output sound pressure 1 time times, generally to 87 Db sensitivity, below 84 Db sensitivity, more than 90 Db for high sensitivity. Sensitivity enhancement is at the cost of increasing distortion, so as a high-fidelity speaker, to ensure sound reduction and reproduction is necessary to reduce the number of demands for sensitivity. Cannot say, conversely, bad speaker sound quality given the high sensitivity and low-sensitivity speakers must be good. Speaker Amplifier with low sensitivity to push (standby power requirements power amplifier). Although sensitivity is an indicator of speaker, but its tone has nothing to do with the speaker.
